Failure is Foreved

I thought I’d share with readers this series of photos I shared via PowerPoint with my students today in a lecture on the importance of spelling conventions. Title Slide: You might never write another paper, but you might get a tattoo. They also got to read this poem. They loved it. Enjoy!

It’s not the cards you’re dealt in life…it’s whether you can spell them!

Once upon a time, God was the ONLY one who would judge this poor speller.

Oh, man, that was funny! This reminds me of a post on cakewrecks.blogspot from another creative teacher. Here it is:

After reading that post, click on “older posts” to see some of the egregious spelling errors. At least with cakes, the mistakes get eaten and you get over it, not so much with tatoos.

Patti, Thanks so much for the link. I shared it with my students today. We all had a good laugh.

The intro slide for this presentation, btw way, reads: You may never write another paper after college, but you might get a tattoo. Heh.

  3. Blessed laughter – i can’t even stand up

I keep staring at the first guy’s tatoo. What was he trying to say? I can’t figure it out to save my life. Oh wait…I just ‘hovered.’

    Extreme LOSER.

LOL. I’m so glad you all enjoyed this. That first guy is so “Silence of the Lambs,” don’t you think? I have to admit, Sweet Pee is my favorite. I just lose it every time I see that one.
